2007 December Surf Check

I didn't see a December surf thread, and November is locked.

I pretty much just chickened out towing yesterday, so when today looked way smaller still with high surf warning, I was stoked. Started at this one right, but a squall came through and there were like 3 foot side chops on 6-8 foot waves, sucked..we thought we were skunked....

Go check himmis, it wasnt breaking good, but across the channel lanis looked great, no one surfing it?!?!?! So we towed out there for like 2 hours, soo fun. About 6 foot plus and kind of west, so it was bowling. My best wave was a set, and it just reeled across and I almost got barrelled three times on that one wave...

When we got back to the harbor DLNR checked our tow licenses, which we have. Our friend a lifeguard pulled up and told they were watching us at lanis leafing through thier book to see if we were illegal, but during high surf warning its legal to tow anywhere aslong as no one is surfing.
