Right ive saved up £209/$370 and ive ordered this board http://www.surfing-waves.com/shop/itemSHbaa67pxm.htm (BIC 6'7'' Short). What do you think? Am I going for the right board here? Best one i could find at the price.

hmmm. i know boards are expensive in the Uk, but i'd save up another 100 and get one custom shaped. speak to the guy who'll shape it, be honest about your level of surfing and he should be able to make you exactly what you need. gulfstream are good, off the top of my head.
Is this your first board? how often do you get in the water?
good luck! :)
