Actually Jackass (anonymous troll), yeah I have been there 3 times 1997, 1998, 2000 staying at least a month and a half each time.
I always stay at the same place the Sarinande Beach Inn in Seminyak. Seminyak is located just on the outskirts of Kuta. Spent many of my night partying at GOA 2000 and Double 6 in Kuta. Sarinande is right on the beach about a mile and a half from Kuta Reef and a 20 min drive from Padang Padang. But if you really have been there, then why dont you post some snap shots of your travels. I did.
And yes I have surfed Padang Padang bigger than 6-8 ft where the place was almost not able to hold the size, and I was shitting my pants but having a blast.
The first 2 picts are the front and interior of the hotel, 3rd shot is the beach at Padang Padang, 4th shot is a pict of the wave before I paddled out on a very big day for PP- if you look closely you can a small black dot of someone in the tube. Outside sets were breaking 10-12ft Hawaiian. Quite scary since right in front of you have the cliff face and the inside bowl section that day was warping, shutting down on alot of the rides and not letting people escape. Plus all that water was causing the channel to turn into a river heading out to see, making it very hard to get in. Still the crowd was respectful and not dropping in that day making it less dangerous. Great session!

"Keep firing, make your attackers advance through a wall of bullets. You may get killed with your own gun, but they'll have to beat you to death with it, because it's going to be empty!"

My avatars' not scary, though it is scary how hypnotic it is. I will only keep this avatar up For 2 days, so as not to offend the ladies out there. ITs still my favorite.
