........looks a bit crowded in sum of your pics. Quite a few surfers there huh? Neva new.
.........the "seawall" break looks the best. Is it? The latest day you have of that place looks unreal but nobody seems to be out. Why is this? The conditions are perfect.
Good luck

i used to surf that place and when it gets over 4ft hawaiian and the tide drops the place breaks so shallow that it becomes unsurfable. okinawa surfing is based all around the tides. most reefs are at the same level underwater and the lower tides make them exposed and gnarly. there are some "low tide" places, but they're few and far between. the reeefs at many of the spots are very much alive that makes surfing at low tide similar to surfing over vertical saw blades.

Hey Josh who is the guy on the blue and white striped long board that loves to share everyone's wave, and has no concept of wave ettiquitte?

Yah, that day definitely had no wave etiquette going on. I think there must have been about 60 guys out there (no exaggeration). But I personally know that those 3 guys he dropped in on dropped in on him first, not once or twice, but 4 times. And each of those times they said gomen (sorry). How frustrating is that? So what's the best thing to do...drop in on them? But dropping in, no matter what, is not good at all. BTW, the guy on the blue and white board is me. I also said gomen to them.Puerto_Rico_Surfer wrote:Hey Josh who is the guy on the blue and white striped long board that loves to share everyone's wave, and has no concept of wave ettiquitte?

Surf's pretty sick over there in Oki. I lived their 4yrs and have experienced all that craziness. Trust me the waves get pretty unreal. So unreal I go back every year during the typhoon season. I'll be there this Sep. I might even move back out there after I retire. That gallery with no one out was during the low tide. Everybody was waiting for the tide to come up. But for me, I would've been out there on the boogie catching some insane barrels.
