Schweeeet Board!

Postby blahlah » Tue May 17, 2005 9:52 am

I'm not advertising this (I just found it on craigslist), I just wanted to share it for others to admire:

http://honolulu.craigslist.org/spo/73784426.html

Had to wipe the drool off the keyboard when I saw it. But a little bit out of my price range so only look but no touch
Brah, it's just like, just get the best barrels ever dude. Just like, pull in, just get spit right out of it, drop in & just smack the lip, WHUH-PACK!! Drop in, BARAAH!!! Then after that, just riding the barrel & get pitted, SO PITTED, like that.

Awesome!
Actually a really good price. Two of them went for $800 each at the Lifeguard auction at Blaisdell!
I'd love to be able to ride one again. I had a 6'4" back in the day, jam the skeg all the way up in the box...
No more that kine money anyway.

Kimo's in Kailua sells new stingers if you're interested. He also sells vintage boards (he recently bought my old "Surfline Hawaii" Buddy Dumfy).

That's lame that the seller put it up in two places, but I guess he could just turn down any craigslist offers or something. I've never sold any boards on the internet before, if i do i think i'll just go consignment at classic.

I actually bought a board off craigslist yesterday - I'm pretty psyched about it. It was $30 - in my price range :D

Quadimoto lives! I've already patched the dings with quick fix and i might give it a go in town this afternoon - i love old boards like this. :D

It's funny, I figure that two hours of fun surf is at least as enjoyable as a good movie, and that costs like 8 bucks now, right? So a board that I surf a hundred times is worth $800. For $30 bucks, I got way more than my money's worth.
