I just wanted to congratulate Bud for winning the surfermag.com homepage photo award with what appears to be a sick shot of the wild west.

First, the homepage, next the photo spread in the hard copy of the bible of the sport!

lol thanks Keala .... hey that's pretty neat, I didn't know they were doing that. http://www.surfermag.com/ I wonder if it stays up all the time for a whole week.

Nah. The only barrels I could claim to have slain were on the ehukai sandbar, on base, along "k-street," etc. :wink:

I have been to tahiti but to mo'orea. The only place i surfed on tahiti island was ta'apuna, which i thought was pretty heavy - kind of like bowls on a medium day.

I'm just a south shore guy who checks wavelust pretty much every day for reports (some of the pictures in the journal helped me survive some long years on the mainland).

sorry for the confusion. i should probably just register since i check the site every day.

tru dat, but dunno who it is. It was one of the group that was in that TV show about north shore surfers living together- Sunny G. and company. dunno what it was called. it was a full on circus with video & sound crew following these chicks on the beach and photogs in the water. didn't get a chance to ask SG was was going on at the time, he was leaving as I was going.
