New England Photo Thread

Hello,

I joined a couple of years ago, used to lurk before the registration when into effect, and it was suggested that I start a separate thread for any New England surf photos. They'll be various sizes and quality (though this will improve), some with snow on the ground, full 6/4/3 wetsuits and mostly rocky points and reefs/ledges. For those who don't know, we can trunk it in the late summer, and 3/2s work for five months out of the year -- water temps 38F winter low up to 70F late summer early fall; air down to well below freezing in winter and 90s in summer.) There are a few other East Coasters here, and Bud thought it would be a good idea, as I recall. As did a few others.

The first batch of pix are very low res, because my camera stinks as a surf camera, not enough zoom, but there are some higher res shots. I'll be adding to it with more of my own surf pix this winter, when I'll have the higher end camera.

I neglected to mention, even though it was obvious if you click on the link, these shots are taken by my associates -- Mark Driscoll, surfer is Jaime Hosker. Most photos on my site and posted here will be my own...I just don't have any quite this good yet (have some size, but not size AND resolution)!

Look fwd. to getting caught up on the Hawaii pix here. Haven't been here in a while.

btw, this could be the East Coast pix thread??? I mean hell, even Florida gets waves....

[EDIT: I know this is a forum for Oahu surfers, and don't mean to impinge on that of course. We have NESurf.com (to which I'm a regular contributor -- it can be complete mayhem there, but often good pix, and some very good people and talent), and other local online resources. But this is one of the more serious surf sites out there, in terms of surfing and stoke.]

...RI by jw. Second shot is knee-paddling to an empty peak...that is empty until I paddled out... But people usually share out here. Have been out with it a few feet overhead, but it gets a little bigger. It can be a 150-yd. left in the right conditions, which are basically every good swell.
