really good movie, extremly sad to see such a good wave go. I would have loved to surf in madiera back in the day.

You can imagine how much it must have sucked to edit that video. Those sequences of Lugar's flawless right tubes playing over and over. all the while knowing the fate that spot was torture.

It's like someone building a starbucks into the lineup at v-land.

One was totally destroyed and several others were altered with varying degrees of severity. There's plenty of other spots to surf but they had to go and mess with the best ones.

Wish I could but I have no less than three student projects I'm working on tomorrow. Mark Cunningham came to my screening and he's a super solid guy who really cares about preserving Kawela Bay. It's a great cause for sure.
