Man, that's really sad. I remember seing some of his work (or atleast photos that I knew he took), and those were some of the best surf photos I've seen. May he find the peace he was missing.

WOW, what a loss to the community, the surfing ohana...
speaking of which, the old-timer henry lum passed away last month...
he was a great guy ...i still crack up thinking about a blurb on him in a book on the old big wave surfers that i read...it said something like...
"all of the big wave surfers were terrific watermen who were powerful swimmers, except for henry lum, who could only doggie paddle..."
