my new eps epoxy has been sitting on my garage rack for about 5 days now. 6+4/6 glassing and it is still ighter than any board I've held. when you say postcure - which do you recommend - the specific temp heating method or just not riding it for a few weeks/

my new eps epoxy has been sitting on my garage rack for about 5 days now. 6+4/6 glassing and it is still ighter than any board I've held. when you say postcure - which do you recommend - the specific temp heating method or just not riding it for a few weeks/

100F for 12 hours, 130F for 4-6 hours. Do not cure at more than 130.

CORRECTION: EPS melts at 185!!!! not 150.

Your car can easily reach 160. With this weather we've been having, I doubt if your garage has gotten hot enough to postcure the board. Know anyone with a sauna? Do not poscure in a twisted position or the board might warp/twist.

Thanks for the temp tips, Bammbamm. I just made my own. I've got it up to 115 degrees using a 125 and 100 watt flood lights with a lot of aluminum foil so does not direct the heat directly at my board.



It makes a nice nightlight too.

Yes. However some believe that you don't get 100% cure without heat. You'll get most of it, though in about 2 weeks, or so they say.
