Pentax Optio WPi

I know that this is probably better in the FAQ's section but the place seems to be packed with retards and trolls.

The specs on this cam are good up to 5' underwater for up to 30 minutes and it only has a .05 second shutter lag. I'm thinking stick this sucker is so thin and light you could stick it in a ziplock and it would still fit in the trunks pocket (maybe with a zipper modification).

Anyway there's a $30 mfr rebate available right now, and I'm thinking 6.0 megapixels would make for some excellent bootie shots.

Neal broke 2 of them (returned for refund) within a couple months, but I've been lucky so far

Sounds great. BTW...what's the place that let Neal return the bashed cameras? I found it on the internet for around $250 but it may be worth it to pay more and expect some damage.

yup. Good friend was so kind as to get one, return, get another, return.

Camera just didn't work for me. Seems to be working fine for Buddy though, given all the good shots he's been getting.

Maybe with the sponge it spends more time underwater than it does in Bud's back pocket. I guess it's rated for up to thirty minutes at five feet deep, which isn't that forgiving when you think about it.

What camera did you use to get the shot on the Surfer Mag website? That whole series came out looking great.

Ummm. Landing on the camera on the reef didn't help.

Used a Canon S80 with housing.

Yep, along with Neal, I had to return 2 of these also. I think they couldn't handle the flyaway bails I was doing. Pics were sick though. If you do buy, maybe this skin might help with the impacts some, http://www.mobileplanet.com/us/product. ... tner=IMFRO.
I just lost my Sony out at Jockos the other day. I unzipped my pocket because a bunch of sets were coming in. And as I was going over the waves it must've slipped out. Oh well, I scored it a real cheap price. Now I'm contemplating of buying the Pentax.
