so it can be hard to distiguish hurricane swell form large windwell.


very true megaP....hurricanes are some of the trickiest things to forecast in all facets! I'm just hoping you guys score....I need someone to post pics of surf and keep my stoke up. i feel like i live at Salt lake city right now, flat!

Not too sure MP - but she looks to be a fizzlin' out. What about it reforming? any chance of picking her back up? Doubtful with the H20 temps?......She looks to be splitting apart...

darby lost a lot of steam Hmark, I think it had a long fetch thus far though. I think somewhere around 72 hours of 65-80 knots plus and some possible virtual fetch for you without decay to angular spreading. I'm not as familiar the islands swell angles and the such so i'm only guestimating.
Still could be some good energy in the water for you if it was on a good path for you.
