They say this is the "first perfect score in ASP history," but I thought Shane Beschen had a perfect 30 at the 1996 Billabong Pro at Kirra (back when they did three wave scores), but maybe that wasn't a WCT event.
Brah, it's just like, just get the best barrels ever dude. Just like, pull in, just get spit right out of it, drop in & just smack the lip, WHUH-PACK!! Drop in, BARAAH!!! Then after that, just riding the barrel & get pitted, SO PITTED, like that.

talk about an overscore, sorry kelly and fans, no disrespect but perfect is perfect and that wasnt it.

I agree - obviously the guy rips but the second wave didn't look that exceptional. surfing will always be sketchy as a competitive sport because judging is so subjective.

well, i didn't see THAT clip the first time! :oops: Ok, he's PRETTY good.

The one where he air drops to sketchy bottom turn/layback tube is ridiculous.

yeah, he surfs pretty good alright, still not worthy of a perfect score, but hell, its not like my input means jack. actually i used to think he was all hype till i saw him surfing perfect pupukea on a small day, guy is quite amazing. :shock:
