bit by aquatic bug species...

So I'm paddling in, and all of a sudden i feel this extremely painful stinging sensation on my chest, I think it's a jelly and just keep paddling. The stinging turns to pinching and worsens, i look down and see this black bug having a feast on my peck...so my question is what the f@#k was that thing?? Drew blood and everything! No one I was with knows...funny, but the shit hurt, still does, with some swelling action...

probably a crab larva. I think they tend to grab hold of things to avoid being eaten in the water column.
did it look anything similar to this?

Y'know, just out there early this afternoon and saw a big fat bee floating in the water, still alive, but struggling. It was black and kind of metallic-looking gold. Maybe it was some sort of bug like that, just lost at sea?
