"For the record, I like amateur surfing. Although I was a pretty lousy contest surfer in my day, competitive surfing was good to me in many different ways. I think that the spirit of competitive surfing, especially amateur surfing, is a positive thing that is good for the kids. Could it overtake soccer as the most popular youth activity in Hawaii? We'll see..."

And I know of both.

Sorry Red, there is no comparison w/ the 2.

Video is a so Cal moron. Aint gonna happen in the water. Not w/ keiki. If we do become that, I'm done.

That's all I hope for with my kid. No matter what she decides to do.

Sorry, didn't qualify that. WORST CASE SCENARIO.

The nice thing about watersports is that the ocean always wins. Maybe I'll see you in the am Hmark.

umm. Yeah a little too extreme there. I've seen parents yell at judges, but that's about as bad as it gets (I hope).
