busted ankle

Hey guys whats up? Last week I fell hard and busted my ankle skating at the local skate park. I just went to a specialist for a check up today, and the doc said that I severly sprained my right ankle, and possibly broke a bone and tore 2 legements. He's not sure yet about the broken bone and tore legements yet, 'cause the x-rays werent that great. But in 2 weeks, Im gonna go back for a check up, and depending on how it looks, I might have to get a MRI. And depending how that goes, I might have to get surgery to repair one of the possibly torn legements. Right now Im in an air cast boot, and on crutches.
So my question is, any advice on keeping myself occupied? I'm pretty much confined to my house and laying in my bed with my leg propped up and iced. So mobility is very limited. Ive watched every surf and skate film I have twice (I have like 2 dozen), and have watched enough TV and surfed the web enough to make me go insane. Ive gone through a lot of magazines, and am half way trough one book, and have finished another. Pleas help me find something that I can do wit my limited mobility, Im being absolutly murdered by boredom.
Another question, anyone have any tips on making a faster recovery? Any herbs or anything help? Also, does anyone know of any exercises that will help strengthen my ankle/leg?
